The warm, clear waters of the Tangalle are ideal for body-boarding and swimming all year round. Fishing boats land in the morning and fresh fish can be bought directly from the boats. Around the rocky headland from the cove lies a long, curving bay with more enticing spots for sun-bathing and beach-combing.
The location of the villa is perfect for whale watching to the turtles at Rekewa, the leopards in Yala, birdlife in Bundala and the elephants at Uda Walawe this is an extra-ordinary area and this is the ideal place to stay as a base from which to explore.
Boating, fishing and snorkeling trips can be arranged, when guests may encounter pods of playful dolphins and migrating whales.
The vicinity offers numerous cultural attractions, including famous rock temples, living Buddhist monasteries and ruins of dynasties past. It is also famous for bird-watching, animal safaris and jungle tours. Parrots, fishing eagles and monkeys can be spotted from the pool terrace and peacocks often leave wet footprints on the floor of the pavilion. Affiliated naturalists can organize excursions to several renowned national parks in the vicinity including Yala National Park for leopard spotting
